On October 22, 2010 Hollywood Least Wanted presents: 8 Dogs, 8 Days 3D: A Fundraiser for the City of Los Angeles’ Abandoned Animals.
Everybody knows who the most famous and most wanted are in Hollywood. The question is—who are the least wanted? Hollywood Least Wanted is a non for profit organization whose mission is to serve as a fundraising institution for Los Angeles-based organizations and individuals who cater to improve the lives of overlooked members of the community in need. Working to achieve this goal, Hollywood Least Wanted collaborates with the local creative community across various artistic disciplines to produce and market events which are supported with strong marketing and public relations initiatives.
The recession has resulted in more homeless animals and less public funding for the City of Los Angeles’ animal shelters; resulting in overcrowding of catastrophic proportions. In response to this crisis, Hollywood Least Wanted is presenting a special one-night charity multi-media art exhibition through the collaborative efforts of photo-journalist Katy Winn and mutli-media artist Rachel Schmeidler named: 8 Dogs, 8 Days (3D) on October 22, 2010.
The event will not only raise funds and public consciousness of the issue, but also serve as an animal adoption fair for 8 dogs. Staged at a mixed-use gallery in Hollywood, 8 Dogs 8 Days 3D is being developed to highlight the plight of 8 dogs at the City’s shelters; documenting their plight utilizing multi-media methods, including Hollywood’s favorite technology: 3D.
